In this week’s show we discuss political commentator and comedian Jimmy Dore's interview of presidential candidate Dr. Cornell West. This episode of the popular show exposed the divide between the fight for human rights versus core economic issues on the left. Dore demanded that West organize around class lines, however Dore mostly missed the legacy of West who has a moral authority on poverty (a leader in the poor people’s campaign) something that it has not been seen since MLK. Dore’s hostility also did not take into account West’s critique of President Biden’s warmongering and imperialistic agenda which West described early on the show. Our guest Loyd McNeil, an Arizonian grassroots organizer supporting the Green party and Dr West presidential campaign shares his thoughts on this unfortunate exchange of ideas.
